PathAIve ("App", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Camera Data
What: When you use the camera feature, PathAIve accesses your device's camera to capture images of landmarks and locations.
How it's used: Images are sent to Firebase AI / Google AI models for landmark identification and tour-guide generation.
Storage: Images are NOT stored on PathAIve servers. They are processed only to fulfill your request and are handled under the applicable provider policies.
Your control: You control when the camera is used.
2.2 Photos in Your Gallery
What: When you save photos, the image is stored in your device's native photo gallery.
How it's stored: Photos are stored only on your device. Never uploaded to PathAIve servers.
Your control: Delete photos anytime from your gallery.
2.3 Location Data
What: The app may request your location for landmark context.
How it's used: To provide location-specific tour guide information.
Storage: Location data is processed locally. Not stored on our servers.
2.4 User Preferences
What: Your interests (history, architecture, art, nightlife, food).
Storage: Saved only on your device using local storage.
Your control: Modify or reset anytime in app settings.
2.5 Account & Authentication Data
What: If you sign in, Firebase Authentication may process your anonymous account ID, email address, display name, and authentication tokens.
How it's used: To support Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and purchase/account continuity across sessions.
Storage: Authentication data is handled by Firebase Authentication rather than a separate PathAIve account backend.
2.6 Spoken Follow-Up Audio
What: If you use spoken follow-up questions, short audio clips, related transcripts, and prompts may be processed.
How it's used: To transcribe your question, generate an answer, and optionally synthesize a spoken reply.
Storage: PathAIve does not store these audio clips on its own servers. Temporary files may exist on your device during playback and processing.
2.7 Subscription Data
What: Payment and subscription information.
Handling: Managed by RevenueCat. PathAIve does not store payment data.

4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Firebase AI / Google AI Models

Data Shared: Images you photograph and optional landmark context

6. Children's Privacy
PathAIve is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information immediately.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights:
Right to Access: Request what data we hold about you
Right to Delete: Request deletion of your data
Right to Opt-Out: Opt-out of certain data processing
Right to Data Portability: Request your data in portable format
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Data Retention
Camera Images: Not stored (deleted immediately)
Photos: On your device (you can delete)
Preferences: Stored locally on device
Authentication: Retained by Firebase according to its policies
Follow-up Audio: Temporary local files during processing/playback
Subscription Data: Retained by RevenueCat for billing
10. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
GDPR (Europe): If you're in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR. We process data based on your consent and legitimate interests.
CCPA (California): If you're a California resident, you have specific rights under CCPA regarding your personal information.
